Veterinary Technician Assistant

Veterinary experience is not necessary for assistant applicants, but these applicants should have a strong interest in animal medicine and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and other team members to provide comprehensive care.
- Handle animals with care and compassion, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with patient treatments, including administering medications, injections, and vaccinations.
- Conduct laboratory tests and prepare samples for testing.
- Assist with anesthesia induction, monitoring, and recovery.
- Make clients feel welcome and comfortable, providing compassionate support.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Go above and beyond to assist clients and ensure their satisfaction.
Position Details:
Job Type: Full-time
Expected Hours: 40 per week (4x10 hour shifts)
Schedule: 10-hour shifts, 4 days per week, includes every weekend rotation
Work Location: In person

- Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
- Strong interest in animal medicine and a willingness to learn.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Veterinary experience: 1 year
- Experience handling horses, exotics, and livestock.
- Ability to safely restrain patients.
- Basic laboratory knowledge.
