Jesse Saul, DVM
I was born, raised, and went to school in Colorado before setting down roots in Flagstaff.
I received both my Bachelors in Science in Biology and my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. I have never been afraid of hard work and put myself through school working construction, building fence, and guiding whitewater rafting trips on the Arkansas River. I still spend as much time outside as possible and enjoy hiking, camping, gardening, trail riding, skiing and snowshoeing.
As a child in elementary school I knew I would be a veterinarian and I am so grateful to my family for all of their encouragement along the way. I feel fortunate to have inherited a love of teaching from my dad and step-dad, and an aptitude for medicine from my mom. I have a younger brother and an older brother, whom has two littles - Kyden and Kayana.
I began my career as a small animal emergency veterinarian despite a strong large animal focus during veterinary school. This background has given me experience in a wide variety of injuries and critical care as well as a passion for working with horses and other livestock.
I have always enjoyed working with my hands and as such I have developed an affinity for orthopedic surgery. I have advanced training, including cranial cruciate injury repairs (TPLO), complicated fracture repairs, and other orthopedic surgeries. Despite my aptitude for orthopedic surgery, my true passion remains diagnosing and treating complicated internal medicine cases.
It has been my lifelong dream to own a mixed animal practice and I couldn't be more excited to own Aspen Veterinary Clinic. We have exceptional clients and patients here at Aspen and we want you to know that we greatly appreciate you choosing us to take excellent care of your pets. It is our goal to exceed your expectations.
