Allison Forbes, DVM, MS
I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and have had a passion for veterinary medicine since an early age. As a child, I would set up a “clinic” in my bedroom complete with an appointment book and several “injured” animals. After attending the University of Washington where I received my Bachelors Degree, I moved to Colorado and obtained my Masters Degree in Environmental Health as well as my Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Colorado State University. I then came to Arizona for the first time and completed an equine internship at Chaparral Veterinary Medical Center. Because I’m always up for an adventure, I moved to the South and worked at an equine exclusive practice where my interests included neonatology, internal medicine, preventative medicine, and emergency/critical care. I also developed a soft spot for all things mini and donkey! The opportunity to come back to the West arose, and I have been expanding my medical knowledge in order to treat your dogs and cats in addition to your horses. I now love having puppy and kitten appointments first thing in the morning!
Outside of work, I love to be running, hiking, and riding. If not doing one of those things, I probably have my nose in a book or am spending time with my family (Kenny, our two dogs Angus and Ellie Rae, and Shaggy, my Appendix who’s an up and coming hunter horse!).
I am excited to meet you and create a bond with your pet!
